An event that connects people and protects fishing spots

 

Hello!

On December 2nd, we held our first event with Minna to Miraizu , organized by staff member MINA, with the themes of "Connecting people" and "Protecting fishing spots"!

 

The event took place at Hakone Hayakawa River, and 60 people participated in the fish release activity, had fun fishing together, picked up trash, and had a rock-paper-scissors tournament.

 

We have decided to invite YouTuber Riki Oikawa as a special guest!

 

 

Something I never expected...

 

After the event was decided, people who were too far away to attend said, "I really want to support the event, so let me pay the participation fee."

I still remember how happy I was, but also how surprised and confused I was by a comment I had never expected.

 

Maybe there are others out there who feel the same way...

 

To be honest, I was planning to operate only with a portion of the sales from some of Hitotoki Works' products and from Minna to Miraizu, so I thought that if we had a sponsor we could operate more healthily and proactively.

 

For this reason, we put out a call for sponsors, and as of December 5th, we have thankfully received over 40 applications.

Fishing at Hayakawa River in Hakone while keeping the fishing spot in mind

 

On the day of the event, when I arrived at the venue more than an hour before, there were already a lot of participants!

 

While trying to suppress my impatience, I was busy preparing the venue and holding meetings, and the participants

 

"I'll help you with something!"

 

We decided to take them up on the offer and ask for volunteers to help maintain the parking lot.

 

 

It was nice to see everyone working together to create something like this, and it made me feel warm inside that morning.

 

 

On this day, original fishing licenses were created and distributed to participants.

 

From the release experience

 

Release activities are usually carried out only by members of the fishing association.

There are few people and elderly people, so this is a big problem.

Why do we have to pay a fishing fee?

 

While there are people who fish without a license, this was something we wanted everyone to experience, in order to give them the opportunity to go through this difficult process and preserve the environment where fishing can be enjoyed for a long time.

 

 

Even though it was cold, everyone got wet and enjoyed the release experience.

 

There are many large rainbow trout at the fishing spot.

 

 

It was a tough situation with the fish not being very active, but we were relieved to see some people catching large fish.

 

When someone catches a fish, the surrounding anglers congratulate each other, creating a warm and relaxing atmosphere that is different from regular fishing.

 

One of the participants, an elementary school student, caught a big fish of 60cm!

 

 

Finally, a rock-paper-scissors tournament

 

 

With the lecture from the expert angler over, all that's left is the rock-paper-scissors tournament.

 

Thanks to the various sponsors who kindly provided us with various items, we were able to prepare some great prizes, and the rock-paper-scissors tournament was a huge success!

 

 

Mr. Yanagida kindly accepted the role of MC, and thanks to his personality, the atmosphere was fun from start to finish.

 

We were able to witness many moments when people who had not been connected until yesterday got together and everyone got their hands on something important.

 

In the future, we hope to expand the area in which we hold events.

This event allowed us to once again realize how much we are supported by the wonderful people around us.
