After completing the trout rescue operation, Masa and I went fishing.

On this day, the three of us went fishing in search of romantic fish, all with our 6-foot class ROMAN rods.

First, we'll aim to catch the hucho, which only lives in Hokkaido.

When I arrived at the site, excited about the unique Hokkaido fishing experience...

There was absolutely no impact from last night's rain, and the conditions were drought and clear, just like the extremely tough conditions in my home area recently.

I was able to see a hucho swimming leisurely like a carp, but it showed no reaction to the lure at all.

I was happy just to see it, but since there was an evening celebration, my fishing time was limited...

We quickly gave up on the huchen and started aiming for rainbows.

Apparently someone Masa knew had been in the water just before, and perhaps due to the poor conditions of the river and the high pressure, there was no reaction from us either...

The deadline is 3 p.m.

With 10 minutes left, three people had still not made a move and we were feeling disheartened, but we decided to just try that one last point and gave up on the big tournament, going for a slightly more tapered move below the big tournament.

Drop the IGNA into the core of the current from upstream, shake and turn it, then slide it in the gentle current in front as you pull it in, and the huge fish will give chase!!

This child might be eaten.

Take a deep breath and try the same route again...

The sight of a fish biting the IGNA as it slid along the center of the current!!

"It would be bad if they went down the rapids below..."

With this in mind, I enjoy the intense fight without giving up the initiative thanks to ROMAN's relaxed power.

Here we notice something important.

"Oh, I left the internet far away haha"

I had almost given up on catching anything, so I left my heavy backpack on the riverbank and headed downstream to a spot.

"The Interneteeeeeee"

A nearby Tenkara fisherman asked, "Would you like to save him?"

She kindly called out to me, and when I looked, I saw that it was a cute net.

"It's okay, thank you ^_^;" I told him, and endured it without any difficulty as I went downstream.

Meanwhile, Masa-san makes a mad dash!!

We waited for Masa, and after repeatedly pulling it closer and then letting it run away, we finally landed it safely.

What came up was an incredible monster rainbow.

When fishing down, the IGNA is susceptible to resistance from the water current and allows the lure to slide sideways slowly, creating an action that only the IGNA can produce.

It was also extremely effective against Hokkaido trout.

This magnificent tail.

Even with a tight drag setting, you can still get a lot of fish out.

Although the conditions were tough, I relied on Masa for everything, from helping me encounter the romantic fish to landing it.

It was because of the disappointment of not being able to compete with the WICKMAN last year that we were able to channel that feeling into the ROMAN and create the ultimate rod.

This was a fish that we were only able to catch because we were ROMAN.

Thank you for a memorable day.
