We received a photo of a homemade rod made using the blanks, so we'd like to share it with you!

 

 

What is WICKMAN?

 

WICKMAN blanks for DIY use that just arrived the other day.

 

 

 

 

Thankfully, the product has proven so popular that only a few items from the first delivery are already left in stock.

 

 

It's true that more and more people are getting into rod building.

We hope to be able to deliver the finished WICKMAN product by the end of this month.

 

 

The WICKMAN is a short rod that is 3 feet 9 inches long when the grip is attached, and is a direct successor to the extremely popular RUNTMAN, with a length of 4 feet 7 inches when the grip is attached.

 

 

Furthermore, since it is a two-piece rod, the storage dimension is 63cm, making it easy to carry around!

I received some photos of a homemade rod from @shin2675, who has always been helpful to me.

 

 

Previously, for his first rod building project, he built a RUNTMAN, but this time he built it using the just-released WICKMAN.

What's more, it comes with both a bait version and a spinning version!

 

 

 

 

As stated on the product page, the bait guide set is compatible with the combination of the guide set [T+PLKWSG88] and T-KGTT4.5-1.6 .

 

 

 

 

The bait version is finished with decorative wrapping of metallic thread between blue and silver.

 

 

 

 

The calm colors make for a cool color scheme that will match any reel.

 

 

It's a color that would match the Calcutta Conquest BFS!

Once you've finished winding the bait version's thread, reel in the spinning version in one go.

 

 

The spinning version is compatible with the spinning guide set and T-KGTT4.5-1.6 .

 

 

 

 

When he first made the RUNTMAN, it took a while, but since he's already wound the 4th or 5th guide, he was able to finish the spinning reel quickly.

 

 

 

 

The spinning version is two-tone with white threads.

The coating process was repeated about three times, and there were some failures when removing the bumps along the way... (Personally, I think that was due to drinking too much lol)

 

 

The coating work was completed successfully and the bait version was completed.

Actually, when @shin2675 went fishing, I also went fishing... (*'ω'*)

 

 

On the way there, I saw a car that looked familiar in my rearview mirror.

 

 

It was a surprise encounter and we ended up going into a nearby river together.

 

 

It was a short fishing trip before work, but with my amazing skills I was able to catch a beautiful amago trout and witness the completion of the ritual! (^^)!
