[Customer submission] Trying rod building with homemade glass solids

Hello!

This is Kamimura from Hitotoki Works.

Today I'm going to take a break from work to watch Shohei Ohtani's All-Star game on TV! Lol

We are currently developing glass tubular blanks.

Mountain stream glass tubular rod

In fact, the sample blanks were completed quite some time ago...

I haven't started on assembly yet...

It's completely negligent (>_<)

It will also be easy to carry as it will have a compact storage size of just under 4 feet and just under 5 feet.

The 4 foot model already has some nice action!

The model, which is just under 5 feet, doesn't look very satisfying without the guides attached, so I have a feeling I'll have to redo it... ^_^;

Sometimes, an action that you thought would work well until you actually try it out may turn out to be no good, and conversely, an action that you thought would be no good may turn out to be good.

I'm hoping to assemble it quickly and take it for a test run.

[Customer submission] Trying rod building with homemade glass solids

We received a lot of wonderful photos from our customers, so we'd like to share them with you!

He purchased a DIY glass solid and tried his hand at rod building.

The guide is straight.

*For DIY glass solids, please select  for the 4 foot guide set .

There is no problem with using titanium guides, but the light weight that titanium provides is less noticeable because the blank itself is heavier than a carbon rod.

The butt guide is painted black, so at first glance it looks like a glass rod and it has a high level of finish.

You can use spray paint on the blanks and surfaces, but if you use urethane paint, which has excellent strength and elasticity, you will have to use up the entire paint, which makes it less cost-effective, so I personally recommend a ``scratcher paint'' method.

Next time, I will show you how to apply the paint!

The name part is very stylish.

In addition to the original name, the decorative wrapping in each part is also carefully designed, making it a useful reference.

Go fishing with your own homemade rod

After completing his homemade rod, he went out fishing and even gave us some photos of his trip.

After all, it’s great to be able to take a photo with your original rod and a fish.

I think I was able to experience a joy that was incomparable to any fishing I had experienced before.

Even just a photo of my tackle will make me grin after my fishing trip.

The color pattern matches the grip well!

The carefully designed name also matches the background of the stream, adding to the stylishness!

Thank you so much for all the photos!!

Next time, he plans to try assembling a carbon rod, so I'm looking forward to it! (^^)!
